Thrive AI Committee · Use Cases

What works on your setup

Every use case in this channel, mapped to how you're running Claude. Most work everywhere — a few need the desktop app, and only automation truly needs the Home Office. Find your setup, follow the step.

Three setups

The further up the ladder, the more Claude can do unattended. Each setup includes everything below it.

Setup 1

In the browser

claude.ai, any device

Ask questions across the systems you're connected to, get cited answers, and build a shareable dashboard or tool on the spot.

Setup 2

Desktop app

The Thrive standard · app + Cowork

Everything in the browser, plus Claude works with files in your own folders — producing finished Excel, Word, and PDF deliverables you keep.

Adds: your local files

Setup 3

Home Office

Claude Code, run by the Home Office

Everything above, plus work that runs on its own — scheduled jobs, dashboards that refresh themselves, and custom data feeds.

Adds: automation & hosting

Full works as shown On demand works, but you run it each time Home Office needs setup 3 to run itself

The use cases

What each one takes, by setup.

01

Ask Procore in plain English

Project lists, RFIs, submittals, statuses across ~175 jobs — no hunting for the right screen.

BrowserAdd the Procore connector and ask. You only see what you already have access to.
DesktopSame — identical connector.
Home OfficeSame, and can feed scheduled snapshots.
02

Instant loan-document lookups

Ask a plain-English question about a loan doc; get the exact term, section, and source file cited.

BrowserAdd the Egnyte connector and ask. It reads the executed documents and cites the file.
DesktopSame.
Home OfficeSame.
03

Rent roll for any property, to Excel

Live lease, unit, and charge data from Entrata, built into a clean two-tab workbook.

BrowserAdd the Entrata connector; Claude builds the workbook and hands you the file to download.
DesktopCowork writes the finished .xlsx straight into your folder — ready to forward.
Home OfficeSame, and can batch every property at once.
04

Monthly leasing trends dashboard

Leads, tours, applications, leases, renewals, move-ins/outs by community and month, from Entrata.

BrowserAsk Claude to pull Entrata and build it as a dashboard; use Publish for a shareable link. It's a snapshot — re-run for fresh numbers.
DesktopSame on-demand build.
Home OfficeThe self-updating version — same link, refreshes every morning — runs here.
05

For-sale portfolio dashboard

Sold / in-contract / available / under-construction, homes closed per year, avg $/SF, from Smartsheet.

BrowserAdd the Smartsheet connector; build it as a dashboard and Publish. Snapshot — re-run to refresh.
DesktopSame.
Home OfficeThe live, self-refreshing link runs here.
06

Dashboard from a weekly report email

Reads the Monday performance email and its spreadsheet, rebuilds an on-brand leasing dashboard.

BrowserWith the Microsoft 365 connector, point Claude at the email + attachment and have it build the dashboard on demand.
DesktopSame.
Home OfficeRebuilding itself the moment each new report lands — same link — runs here.
07

Automated morning briefing

Calendar, external-attendee backgrounds and headshots, formatted into one email before your day starts.

BrowserAsk “build my briefing for today” — it reads your calendar and researches attendees on the spot. You run it; it isn't emailed.
DesktopSame on-demand briefing.
Home OfficeThe 6:00 AM auto-emailed version runs here, hands-off.
08

Build a small internal tool

Describe a calculator or lookup in plain language; get a working web page you can open or save to your phone.

BrowserDescribe it; Claude builds it and Publish gives a link to share or save to your home screen.
DesktopSame.
Home OfficeSame, plus a permanent Thrive-hosted address if a tool graduates to daily use.
09

Leasing maps from plans + occupancy

Every unit color-coded by leased / on-notice / available — as a grid and overlaid on the real floor plans.

BrowserThe clean color-coded grid builds on demand from Entrata. The floor-plan overlay isn't practical here.
DesktopGrid works; the plan overlay is possible in Cowork if you supply the plan sheet, but it's heavier work.
Home OfficeFull pipeline — pulls plans from Procore, matches Entrata, and overlays status automatically.
10

Site aerials with proposed buildings

Current aerial imagery of a site with a proposed building composited onto it for early massing and marketing.

BrowserUpload an aerial and Claude can mark it up and annotate. Live imagery pulls and photo-real compositing aren't available here.
DesktopSame — annotation yes, photo-real building composite no.
Home OfficePulls current Nearmap imagery and generates the composited rendering. Request it from the Home Office.

For future submissions

When you post a use case, add these three lines so everyone knows if it works for them.

Copy this into your post

One line per setup: does it work, and what's the step or the catch? If you're not sure, post it anyway and tag the Home Office — we'll fill in the setups.

In the browserWorks? What connector to add, or the workaround / limit.
Desktop appWorks? Anything Cowork / local files add for this one.
Home OfficeWhat only automation or hosting unlocks (scheduling, self-refresh, custom feeds).

Rule of thumb: connector Q&A and one-off builds work on every setup. Finished files land best on Desktop. Anything that has to run on its own, refresh itself, or pull a custom data source is a Home Office job.
